Arp185 (NGC6217) on the night of Tuesday June 16, 2020. To the east of Arp185 on the left edge of the image is UGC10509 showing a type Ia supernova. The supernova was "independently discovered" and reported based on this image. It was later ascertained the supernova had been discovered by two large professional search teams on June 1, 2020.
It is now known as supernova 2020lql.
